Hundreds of monours have attended the requiem mass to bide Farwell to the former Minister of Tourism Maria Emily Mutagamba at Lubaga Cathedral with a reminder to believers to renew their faith for eternity.

The main celebrant the Archbishop of Kampala Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga says Mutagamaba has lived exemplary as a catholic and succeeded in life which many Christians have forgotten with a big number of them ever running around for miracles and worshipping all sorts of things contrary to the Catholic teaching which could be the cause of inhuman criminality like murders, theft, domestic violence and indecency which is rampant in Uganda.

Dr. Lwanga reminded leaders to emulate Mutagamba an accountable and service oriented person for the electorate, charismatic and God fearing.

From Rubaga the body will be transported to her home at Nakasozi Buddo near Nabbingo for viewing and tomorrow it will lay in State at Parliament from 10:00am to 2:00pm and later on enter plenary for MPs to pay their last respects to the departed colleague.

At 5pm the body will head to her ancestral home in Gamba Village, Kakuuto County, Rakai District where there will be a night vigil and laid to rest on Wednesday June 28th she will be laid to rest.

Mutagamba a former member of the opposition Democratic Party crossed to NRM where she served as minister for Water and Environment and lastly as the minister for Tourism

The former Minister died on Saturday last week at Case clinic Kampala. She survived by 15 children and 20 grandchildren
