Catholic Church has started harvesting for the new members who are to look after the God’s flock with Tororo Archdiocese ordaining seven deacons to priesthood and seven Deacons

The ordination ceremony took place on Saturday July 1st at the Uganda Martyrs Cathedral Nyangole led by Archbishop Emmanuel Obbo who is also making four years as the archbishop in Tororo.

In his remarks, Archbishop Obbo reminded the newly ordained priests that priesthood is a ministry of servants of God but not honorable that should live and preach the gospel, nurture people’s faith and celebrate sacraments.

The State Minister for Health in charge of general duties Sarah Opendi who was a special guest urged priests not to be victims of social media to the extent of failing to have time for the gospel.

Kwapa Parish got two priests and a deacon while the Archbishop’s parish St. Wilbrod Nagongera had one priest now Rev. Fr. Simon Peter Okumu all from Tororo district
