The Archbishop of Mbarara Paul Bakyenga ordained 11 priests and 13 deacons at the Nyamitanga Cathedral with a called to the ordained to commit their bodies to God and abstain from worldly temptations that can obstruct their service.
Archbishop Bakyenga said he expects to be very kind and execute their duties for all people including those in prisons and hospitals who desperately need the presence of the Catholic Church.
He urged Christians to work along with the priests to conserve the environment and make efforts to keep it as God intended it in creation citing hunger and lack of food which is as a result of human activity.
Some of the ordained priests were assigned to a number of parishes both in Uganda and outside countries like Malawi. These included among others Deacons;. Didas Muhwezi,. Vincent Tinkasiimire and David Kagwa.
