The Bishop Emeritus of Hoima Rt. Rev. Albert Edward Baharagate has reminded Catholics and all believers never to abuse the Holy Eucharist because Jesus manifests himself and it’s a source of miracles.

Bishop Baharagate says schools and parents must coordinate to promote faith and spirituality among the children who later on take the responsibility of building the Catholic Church.

He said this while gracing the celebrations of marking the St. Peter’s day at St. Peters Primary School Nsambya.

He says preparing children for sacraments especially that of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation give them a firm ground to know their church but insisted on the ongoing formation to help them not be shaken by the mushrooming churches.

However, Bishop Baharagate urged parents to encourage children to join priest and religious life because the need to evangelize the world is enormous.

He administered sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation to over 100 pupils on which St. Peter’s Primary School Nsambya was also celebrating 110 years since it was started by the Mill hill missionaries.

The head teacher of the school Francis Ssenabulya commended the support enjoyed from the Catholic Church leadership saying the school currently has over 3,200 pupils with 65 teaching and 33 none teaching staff members  The School is one of the many in Kampala offering education to refugee children living in and around Makindye division.
