President Museveni has cleared at least over 100 people to be decorated with medals in recognition for their distinguished service at the forthcoming cerebrations of 30th Heroes Day slated for June 9th 2019 at Kasanje Town Council play grounds in Wakiso district.
According to the Minister for Presidency Easter Mbayo, the selected members played a commendable job during the Liberation struggle for Uganda to get peace giving lessons to the current generation and history to tell.
This year’s Heroes day celebrations are under the theme; “Celebrating the Courageous Heroes that brought the peace and prosperity we are enjoying”.
Mbayo has advised veterans to always appreciate government for her contribution towards their livelihood rather than complaining.
She has decried of the rampant corruption that has eaten up government institutions and agencies failing service delivery to the citizens singling out Nakaseke hospital where health services have deteriorated duet to corruption.
