The speaker of parliament Hon. Rebecca Kadaga has launched the 2019 rotary cancer run and the commissioned the construction of the USD 4.5 million cancer treatment machine bunkers at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya with a call to Ugandans to embrace cancer checkups.

 

Kadaga said Cancer has become a big health challenge due to lack of awareness and medical checkup applauding rotary for the efforts in ensuring that Ugandans access modern cancer treatment within the country.

 

This year’s cancer run will take place on August 25th at kololo Independence grounds and in 40 other major towns across the country aiming at raising 1 billion shilling.

 

Meanwhile the managing Director of centenary Bank Fabian Kasi, presented a cheque of165 million shillings form centenary bank as their contribution to the cause.
