Another girl identified as Mary Namayanja 17, a resident of Butema Village in Njeru central division in Buikwe district is reported to have been kidnapped.

Namayanja was kidnapped last evening when she left her parent’s home to repair her shoes but received a call from unidentified person to meet her in Nakibizi village.

According to Namayanja’s family, her kidnappers have been sending them messages using her phone telling them not to look for their daughter and warning them not to involve police if they want to see her alive again. Namayanja’s brother, Kenneth Kiseka, says the kidnappers have not yet made any demands but her mother Grace Namusisi is in the hospital after fainting on learning of the incident.

The Ssezibwa Region spokesperson Hellen Butoto, says they have picked up the boda boda rider who was seen taking Namayanja to Nakibizi.

Namayanja’s kidnap brings to three the number of people kidnapped in Buikwe district this month. The other are Brianna Nalule 22 , a resident of Nakibizi who was kidnapped from the old taxi park in Kampala and killed after the family failed to pay a ransom of Shillings 10 Million and four-year-old Teddy Lunzinda who was kidnapped from her parent’s home in Kinyoro village in Lugazi town on Thursday last week but was secured after parents paid a ransom of Shillings 1 million to her captors.
