Cabinet Ministers led by the Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda have toured the New Mulago Women and Neonatal Hospital this morning where they officially received the 45 bed modern hospital from the Contractor, Arab Contractors.

The hospital has been constructed on a 47million US Dollars loan borrowed from the Arab Development Bank.

According to the State Minister for Health in Charge of General Duties Sarah Opendi, the hospital will commence its services on September 17th and will be officially opened in the first week of October as independence gift to Ugandans.

The Executive Director Mulago Hospital Dr. Byarugaba Baterana clarifies that individual bed sheets and clothes won’t be allowed in the hospital to control infections and avoid bedbugs.
