The Archbishop of Kampala Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga has appealed for solidarity and prayer right from families for Uganda to be peaceful especially in this period of uncertainty on the country’s political environment.

In his homily at the Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi cerebrations to mark 24 years of existence Dr. Lwanga said that peace builds happiness, a sense of belonging and understanding of one another, a true reflection of God, the temple of peace.

He said Ugandans should not sit and watch the political situation in the county but turn to God and pray for peace.

This comes at the heightened tension over the constitutional amendments on article 102b on the presidential age limit.

Uganda Marty’s University a catholic founded university in Uganda is celebrating 24 years since it opened its gates to professional studies  on  October 18th ,1993 , under the theme; cerebrating 25yrs of excellence in the footsteps of Ugandan Martyrs.
