The Archbishop of Kampala Dr Cyprian Kizito Lwanga has paid tribute to the families of those who lost their relatives in the tragic accidents that occurred at the close of last week.

This follows the boat, which was occupied by revelers on a boat cruise, capsized in Mpatta Sub-County in Mukono District.

Three people died and nine others injured when a rally car lost control and rammed into a crowd at the Busiika motor sports arena, in Luweero district.

While celebrating the Requiem mass of the late Alfred Ddamulira Mukasa, the father to Msgr. John Wynand Katende, Dr. Lwanga said it was unfortunate that over 30 people perished in a boat cruise on Lake Victoria and three spectators perished in a motor rally event dubbed ‘Kiggwa Kw’olwo’ at Busiika.

On the late Alfred Ddamulira, the Archbishop hailed the deceased’s services describing him as a person who has lived true Christian life to the extent of offering his children to serve the church.

The late Ddamulira was born in 1926 and dead at the age of 92 years.
