The Bishop of Masaka Diocese Rt. Rev. John Baptist Kaggwa has called for reconciliation and respect to individual views as the cardinal virtues to democratic principles.

In the message read for him by the Executive Secretary for Pastoral Liturgical Commission at the Uganda Catholic Secretariat Rev. Fr. Dr. John Baptist Kaganda said fights in Parliament depicted a country where human understanding of one’s view was at the liberty of who wilds power which suppresses collective responsibility and understanding.

Bishop Kaggwa said political rivalry cannot be the solution to Uganda’s problems but dialogue and understanding of one another in a peaceful way.

He said total conversation is required in each individual’s live to see and accept God in the daily life to avoid sin, abuse of humanity and the environment.

He said this in the thanks giving mass for Christians of Masaka Diocese specifically from Kyamulibwa Parish who animated on behalf of others at Bishop Ddungu gardens in Nsambya Kirombe.

The Christians were reminded of their theme; “Let us build catholic families that are self-sustaining and protect the environment.”
