Centenary Bank in conjunction with Uganda Red Cross Society have launched a campaign dubbed Emergency Preparedness Awareness in schools to empower Pupils and Students with basic first aid skills to save life.

Miti Lwanga the coordinator Commercial First Aid and Ambulance services at Uganda Red Cross Society told the journalists after the training at Kampala Junior Academy -Kitante that the initiative was started to make sure that at least every child can give First Aid on incidents like simple fracture ,Noise bleeding, wounds among others while at school or home .

The program will be rolled out in 7(seven) schools within the central Division of Kampala then move to Mukono, Wakiso and other divisions of Kamala and beyond to help children assist themselves in time of injury to save lives because most accidents to children are experienced while at school and home without any adult to assist them that at times left many dead and others permanently injured yet they could be saved if responded to early enough.
