General Court Martial has ordered the transfer of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nixon Agasirwe from Luzira Prison where he has been on remand over kidnap, to Makindye Military Barracks Prison.

The reason for the changes is not yet clear.

Agasirwe who looked confused with the pronouncement tried to raise his hand in the dock to say something about this but was advised to communicate through his lawyer,

Meanwhile, in today’s hearing, one of the suspects Abdul Semujju made a U- turn and agreed to take a plea in the case, on grounds that he is a civilian who cannot be charged in an army court.

Semujju was read the charges related to kidnapping a Rwandan national and he pleaded not-guilty.

The prosecution alleges that on 13th August 2013 at Lukole village, in Luweero district, Semujju and Agasirwe, using fire arms and grenades kidnapped Vincent Kalisa a Rwandese National whom they repatriated back to Rwanda without his consent

Semujju was remanded to Luzira until 26th March when the matter comes up again for mention.
