The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission boss, Dr. Tanga Odoi has accused the party Secretary General Justine Kasule Lumumba for orchestrating conflicts that has portrayed both of them as enemies.
Addressing a press conference today at his offices in Kamapala, Tanga defended his office and distances himself from the leadership battles accusing Lumumba to be fighting to govern the party’s electoral commission yet it is independent from the secretariat.
The NRM Secretariat and Party Electoral Commission have been in wrangles since 2015 when Tanga’s department was allowed to be self accounting.
However, angry Tanga announced an open fight to keep his office that surrendering it to Lumumba not until president Museveni intervenes.
Our efforts at reaching out to Lumumba were infertile.
