The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has lashed out at the district and Sub County chairpersons accused of usurping powers of the party’s Electoral Commission.
????????????????????????????????????This has been revealed by the NRM Electoral Commission chairperson Dr. Tanga Odoi at the party commission headquarter in Kampala while giving his remarks on the current status of electoral primary activities for the new Sub Counties, districts and municipalities.
He says that there are political leaders on various levels currently executing the work of the party’s electoral commission which is contrary to the party constitution.
Odoi adds that the role of these leaders is to guide the electorates and aspirants over electoral activities where necessary but not issuing directives thus urging them to leave this work to the party Sub County and district electoral bosses.
He has cited out the Isingiro district chairperson Jeremiah Kamurari, as among those who he has warned and urged him to immediately stop it.
