The Uganda East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) representatives have threatened to drag Kenyan government to regional court over failure to conduct elections to fill their positions in the assembly.

Addressing the media at city house in Kampala, Fred Mukasa Mbidde the Democratic Party vice president and Ugandan EALA representative says that Kenya has delayed the exercise until the end of their national polls which has denied other members opportunity to be sworn in.

Mbidde however says Uganda, Kenya and other member countries are in dialogue over the same issue but any failure they will not hastate to drag them to court.

On the South Sudan representatives to the assembly as appointed by president Salver Kir in form of a decree rather than through an election exercise, Mbidde says, it was another move that disorganized their formalization and with a court injunction the South Sudan has been forced to withdraw them and follow the right procedure.

On Kyadondo East bi-election Mbidde says as DP, they do not have a candidate in the race after withdrawing the Kamoome Lillian Babirye but was unhappy with the disunity amongst the opposition to back a single candidate for them to regain that poll.
