The forum for Democratic change (FDC) party has opened its 10th National Council Meeting with a call to its leaders to focus on issues aimed at building and drive the party to power.

The party president Mugisha Muntu while giving his opening remarks at the party headquarters said that leaders must not relax in their offices but mobilize for more members to join FDC adding that internal bickering will leave the party torn apart.

The 2day national council meeting is under the Theme..Strengthening party cohesion through adopting strategies that will take FDC to power.

Muntu also lashed at the judiciary over injustices exhibited in the post 2016 election exercise including banning prayers, party activities, passing bans on party activities among others but expressed optimism of the improvement with the retirement of the Deputy Chief Justice Stephen Kavuma whom he accuses of being a problem to the Judiciary.

Muntu adds that any country which a prudent Justice system is a recipe to mob action and all forms of criminality which cost the country’s image and development.

Muntu continues that several attacks by the government forces and security agencies like in Kasese and in places where FDC boasts of strong support by the groups of goons with machete must be addressed.

Meanwhile Muntu has expressed interest to contest for the party president to unite the party to successfully participate in the next general elections come  2021.
