The Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) is planning to move a motion in parliament to compel government, produce a concrete report on the gruesome murders that have so far claimed 20 lives of young women in Nansana and Entebbe in Wakiso district.

The Deputy Party Spokesperson Paul Mwiru says their one of their parliamentary representative Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has been directed to take that role before parliament since the security agencies have failed to produce neither reports nor any line suspect.

Dozens of women have been brutally raped and killed in a few months in a string that has police still scratching their heads

Mwiru suggests that with institution of the LC1 committees and Mayumba Kumi, security would be guaranteed than depending on the wrangling security agencies, the Police and ministry of security.

Recently, the Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura and Security Minister Henry Tumukunde visited the affected areas of Nansana and Entebbe respectively and has since arrested several suspects in connection with the brutal murder of women.

Mwiru has also applauded the Kenya’s Supreme Court ruling over the presidential election irregularity challenging Uganda’s courts to borrow leaf and make sure electoral cases are respected to avoid violating peoples will in deciding whom they want to be their leaders.
