The Opposition Forum for Democratic Change -FDC have vowed to act against the abuse of the electoral exercise if the Electoral Commission fails to prevail over president Museveni’s manipulation and bribes to the people of Rukungiri District hiding in donations.
????????????????????????????????????The party spokesperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda expressed displeasure over the interference with the electoral laws by the fountain of honor challenging the EC to be responsible and provide a leveled ground for all candidates for the district woman parliamentary by-election.
This follow an event held on April 16th when president Museveni donated items worth 5 billion shillings to 101 youth groups among others; mini buses, bodabodas, breakdowns garage equipments, tents and chairs to support them in the fight against poverty.
The seat fell vacant after Court of Appeal led by the Deputy Chief Justice Owiny-Dollo nullified the election of Winfred Komuhangi Matsiko (NRM) following a successful petition by Forum for Democratic Change’s (FDC) candidate, Betty Bamukwasa Muzanira who reported gross irregularities in form of bribery in the February 2016 general elections.
