Government has moved to popularize Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) through Music as another avenue to localize the program aimed at fighting poverty and create house hold income.
OWC a presidential initiative started in 2014 to make National Agricultural and Advisory Services NAADS to make it more feasible through which Ugandans can modernize farming to improve on production, has distributed cows, seedlings and improved seeds with the help of the UPDF to ensure efficiency.
The program headed by Gen. Salim Saleh has brought on board Musicians through their network called Uganda Music Promoters and Venue Owners Network (UMP –NET) to compose and produce songs to keep reminding communities of the benefits of the program.
The UMP-NET coordinator in Uganda Tonny Ssempijja says through the campaign they want to encourage Ugandans appreciate agriculture the back born of this country and already Gen. Saleh has promised 100 million shillings to the best composer calling on all musicians to participate.
