Women are urged to embrace the forthcoming elections of women councils and committees from village to national level that will help to give them platform for both social and economic development.
Minister of state for Gender , Labor and social Development Peace Mutuuzo Regis while addressing the journalists at media center said that women involvement in leadership creates more chance for development in the areas of registrations as well as country because women are know of being transparent.
Mutuuzo adds that’s women should go and register when registers displayed at their respective villages in order to participate fully in the excise as contesters or voters.
The electoral commission set 14th November 2017 as the polling day for 5 member of village women committee,1st November elections of sub-county, town municipal Division,17th January 2018 District/city women elections and 31st January -1st Feb 2018 National conference for the national women committee.
Meanwhile Mutuuzo adds that they are going to use lining up behind your candidate of interest as it was amended by the parliament recently to help in savaging over UGX 75 billion which would have been used.
