The International Criminal Court (ICC) has started tracking down the movement of Uganda’s most wanted warlord, Joseph Kony in the Central African Republic (CAR).

The move comes few months following the withdrawal of Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) from Central African Republic.

The ICC International Cooperation Adviser, Dahirou Sant-Anna says the court is cooperating with multiple organizations and countries to track down the movement of Kony in the region for possible arrest to face justice under a mechanism at the Court for monitoring indicted suspects still at large.

Dahirou says under the mechanism, several dedicated ICC staff filter fake leads from a spectrum of vital useful information generated about the locations and movement of Kony.

Kony is currently hiding in Central African Republic with at least 120 people around him; including fighters, abducted women and children.
