The Inspector General of Police Gen Kale Kayihura says he will not apologise for ordering the arrest of Opposition and Independent Members of Parliament who had destructed its business yesterday.

In a press conference at Kasenyi landing site in Entebbe Kayihura said the Police officers who executed the operation against the errant MPs who had been suspended and refused to leave parliament had to be dealt with praising his offers for the job well done.

It was earlier alleged that plain clothed men who stormed parliament were from the Special Force Command a specialized force that protects the president who brutally handled the situation injuring a number of MPs.

Although the Parliamentary director of communication Chris Obore had denied knowledge of plain clothed security officers who stormed parliament to eject the 25 suspended MPs General Kayihura said police and their sister security agencies were only doing their work to arrest those members who were inciting violence and assaulting police officers.

A number of MPs sustained serious injures and on top of that Police have issued charges against them and have to report at the CIID office in Kireka.

On the issue of gruesome murders in Entebbe Kayihura said use of the social media would be of help to help Local leaders, security agencies and the community to control such crime.
