Police Chief Martin Ochola has intervened in the row between the former Tooro Kingdom Prime Minister Steven Irumba and the Minister for Relief, Refugees and Disaster Preparedness Eng. Hillary Onek.

Disagreement between the dual ensued when Irumba accused Onek of withdrawing his security personnel that had been offered to him by the Office of Prime Minister (OPM) earlier this month, which he calls a hatched plot by the Minister to finish his life.

The security had been provided to Irumba after the Refugees in Kyaaka 1 based Camp in Kyegegwa District reportedly attacked and killed his animals, blaming the raid to the OPM through Disaster Ministry which he pins for grabbing his 200 acreage Land and later allocated it towards Refugees activities in 2016.

Now, Ochola who declined to address journalists committed himself to restoring Irumba’s security when he appeared before Justice Catherine Bamugemereire’s Land Inquiry Commission in camera session this morning.

The Commission’s lawyer Ebert Byenkya confirmed shortly after the session.
