The Chief Justice Bart Katurebe has called for proficiency among the judicial officials in their operations especially at the current situation where forms of torture and violence are increasingly eminent in Uganda.

This was at the launch of the 23rd the Justice, Law and Order Sector Government of Uganda and Development Partners Annual Review 2018 at LDC Makerere attended by among others security organs Development partners and ULS under the theme “Empowering the people, Building Trust, Upholding Rights”

Katurebe is also worried about the increased number of prisoners which challenges all stakeholders in the country.

The report indicates that there is growing trust, people centered service delivery and commitment to human rights based approach within the sector.

The report also shows positive performance against the impact and outcome indicators with increased public trust and satisfaction compared to the SDPIV baseline.
