The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has summoned the Minister of Internal Affairs, Gen. Jejje Odongo to clarify on orders issued by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Martin Ochola for  the public to stone unidentified police officers.

While addressing the media at the Police headquarters yesterday, the police boss condemned the unprofessional manner in which some police officers’ conduct themselves while executing arrest saying if any officer fails to comply with their rules, the public should not hesitate to take law in their hands against such a person.

While presenting the matter of National Importance, the Shadow Minister of Defense also Kilak South Member of Parliament, Gilbert Olanya asked parliament to compel the IGP to retract the orders that they tantamount to inciting violence.

The speaker then ruled to summon internal affairs minister to make clarification on the statement.
