Members of Parliament from Kampala have opposed the newly proposed Kampala Capital City Authority KCCA amendment bill 2015.

The MPs who include; Moses Kasibante of Rubaga North, Allan Ssewanyana of Makindye West , Latif Ssebagala of Kawempe North and Mubarak Munyagwa of Kawempe South insisted before the parliamentary presidential committee chaired by Jessica Osege that it is not advisable for the committee to consider a bill that is mainly targeting the position of a lord Mayor.

The bill proposes that all powers be vested in the minister in charge of Kampala which MPs say will render the authority councilors and the lord mayor irrelevant
