Police warns the Family of Late Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Andrew Felix Kaweesi over giving false information to the public on the assassins of their relative.

Police spokesperson Asan Kasingye while addressing the press at police headquarters in Naguru said the utterances by the relatives accusing police for parading wrong suspects yet they know who killed their relatives, is jeopardizing the investigations.

Kasingye explains that the late AIGP relatives have made it a habit to hold press conferences at Kitwe Kyanjovu every 17th of the month and address the media and press, giving false information including names of the people the family claims are the people responsible for the murder.

He advises the family to meet the police and give their side of knowledge than misleading the public.

AIGP Kaweesi was killed on 17th March this year while from his home in Kulambiro Kisasi and since then a number of arrests have been made but only 20 people have been brought to court although the state is still investigating.
