A section of Lord councilors of the KCCA council led by the deputy Lord Mayor  Sarah Kanyike  have disclosed plans to hold a peaceful demonstration to  the constitutional square as they launch a campaign dubbed ‘Tojibukula’  aimed at opposing amendment of article 102 (b) of the constitution.

Speaking to the press in Kampala, Kanyike noted that they have already notified police about this peaceful demonstration though have not reply to that effect.

Lord councilors behind this move include the Michael Zzigwa of Kawempe South, Moses Katabu of Kampala centre ll, and Kennedy Okello Ouma of Nakawa among others.

Kanyike further says that the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago to also join them after cancel his journeys.

These have also condemned police for not cautioning the state minister for investment Evelyn Anite for words she uttered about the army instead of summoning other members of parliament who are against the amendment of 102 (b).

This comes at a time when Igara West Member of Parliament Raphael Magyezi is expected to table a motion aimed at amending article 102(b) of the constitution tomorrow.
