Property owners in Nakawa division have been given 30 days until April 18 April to submit their objections on the amount of tax levies allocated to their properties.

Addressing the press at Nakawa division in Kampala the Chairman of the Evaluation court at Kampala Capital City authority (KCCA) Asuman Basalirwa notes that once the 30 days ultimatum elapses nobody will be allowed to submit any other objection.

There are 6,200 properties in Nakawa division from which Kampala Capital City Authority is expected to collect over15bn shillings.

However, the Nakawa Division Mayor Ronald Balimwezo appeals to all property owners to comply and pay the rates since the revenues help them to improve the social infrastructure and sanitation in the division.

The draft list on the new levies of their property has been displayed at Nakawa community centre for the public viewing.
