Residents of Kisenyi I parish in Kampala Central division want Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) leaders to cooperate with Local council (LC) leaders if they are to fight illnesses especially those related to hygiene.

Last week the State Minister of Health for General Duties, Sarah Opendi confirmed the outbreak of Cholera in Kampala, specifically in Kabowa in Lubaga division with already two patients among those admitted with similar symptoms tested positive.

Buwanika zone LCI chairman in Kisenyi I parish Hajji Swaleh  Tibamwenda says cordial working relationship among leaders from top to the local council is lacking which brings a lapse in as far as implementing laws on hygiene is concerned.

Tibamwenda says besides landlords to ensure cleanliness, KCCA must ensure construction of good water channels to avoid stagnant water which bread diseases.
