The Land Commission of Inquiry has issued criminal summons against the Tooro Kingdom Queen Mother, Best Kemigisa.
Today, Kemigisa was supposed to appear before the commission to respond on accusations made against her and the reigning King, Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV by kingdom elders over the mismanagement of Kingdom affairs.
The two are said to be led by the 71 year old Prince Gilbert Mujyoja to sell off Kingdom land and aid other anomalies
The Commission’s Deputy Lead Council John Bosco Ssuuza informed the probe that Kemigisa’s lawyer called him saying that his client instead attended cultural functions in the kingdom but is ready to attend the commission with full evidenced documentations over her accusations on any date.
However, this prompted the Commission’s Chairperson Justice Catherine Bamugemereire to set April 23rd this month’s for her to appear before the commission at 9am.
