The Woman Member of Parliament for Dokolo district Cecilia Ogwal is worried of some youth reportedly supporting amending article 102b aimed at lifting the presidential Age limit.

Ogwal says it’s embarrassing to see the young generations accepting to be paid in order to support the amendments yet their MPs are struggling to ensure that leaders who have served for long time retire to give way for youths.

This comes after reports indicating several youths groups include those from Wakiso district that recently gathered at Holyfam Hotel in Nansana to show their support for the constitutional amendment on age limit.

She however supports the Anti- age limit MPs thus encouraging them to intensify their campaigns and calling upon Ugandans to fight for their right of constitutional amendments.

Meanwhile, Ogwal urges legislators especially from the opposition not to accept the UGX 29 million meant for consultations on amending article 102b.

She justifies that a number of amendments have been enacted by hoodwinking MPs citing the recently passed  law on the  Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) that was done without consultations.
