Mayors and Divisions councilors from Kampala have vowed to support legislators who will stand against the removal of the presidential age limit.

The Nakawa division mayor Ronald Balimwezo in their meeting held at KCCA gardens said that councilors are not ready to support constitution amendment unless the parliament calls for constitution review commission.

Balimwezo adds that the process of amending the constitution should be consultative and participatory.

Today the Parliament is in preparation to table the bill that is intending to remove the article 102b which thing is being opposed by many Ugandans.

He calls upon all Ugandans to be vigilant to stop this tragedy

The Buikwe district Democratic Party (DP) leadership led by their Chairperson Dr. Michael Lulume Bayigga have joined hands to gang against the lifting of the presidential age limit through a constitutional amendment of article 102/b

In a press briefing held at Lugazi town before they set off to match to the Parliament in Kampala Dr. Lulume said they are acting in the national interest after receiving calls and interaction from many people requesting to save the country from anarchy.

However Police did not allow them to take even a single step they were intercepted and stopped from the intended plan because it was not cleared by the police.
