The State Minister in-charge of Sports, Charles Bakkabulindi has cautioned that Uganda should not employ a very expensive national football coach.

A source that attended a closed meeting with the State Minister and the head of the vetting committee, Kalusha Bwalya and members of the committee last evening revealed that Bakkabulindi was very cautious insisting that government will not be able to pay an expensive coach.

Bakkabulindi also made it clear that government support for the national coach will not come immediately because there are procedures including seeking audience with President Museveni about the matter.

Uganda is in search of a new coach ahead of the 2018 Total Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco.

Former Uganda Cranes tactician Bobby Williamson is among the 90 applicants who applied for the Uganda Cranes job.
