The Minister for Kampala Betty Kamya has reacted on the fate of tricycle rides commonly known as Tuku tukus operation just after President Museveni allowed them to commercially work.

Speaking to Journalists after attending the Kampala Capital City Authority meeting with investors in Nakawa division, Kamya says that the President was ambushed by bodaboda riders and had no option only to allow Tuku Tuku back.

While meeting boda boda riders and taxi operators yesterday, Museveni allowed Tuku tuku owners to continue operating as await an engagement with Minister Kamya for further inquiry.

Kamya says that within two weeks, she will meet and give correct information to President Museveni about the law barring tuku tukus o operate from the city.

She notes that once the President allows the law to be amended, then Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) will also leave Tuku tuku to operate.
