The leadership of the Uganda Federal Alliance (UFA) has sacked the party President, Beti Olive Namisango Kamya, who currently serves as cabinet Minister Incharge of Kampala.

UFA accuses Kamya, the party’s founding president, of neglecting her presidential duties in the party, making public utterances and participating in the NRM Caucus Kyankwanzi meeting which are different from what the party believes in and acting in contempt of its organs.

Addressing the Media at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel in Ndeeba Kampala, the UFA Minister for Research Francis Nsibirwa Matovu says that they have already notified Kamya about her fate in the party and organized elections to replace her.

However, the Party Spokesperson Baker Byayi emphasizes that they have a team of lawyers ready to challenge in courts of law once she attemptes to reject the decision.

In 2017, Kamya promised Museveni that she would deliver to him 80 per cent of the votes in the capital Kampala, an opposition stronghold, should he stand in 2021.
