Kyadondo East Member of Parliament (MP), Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has expressed disappointment in the manner government and the security organs are responding to recent cases of kidnap and murder of citizens in the country.

The legislator who has just returned from USA after pursuing a leadership training course at Harvard University noted that it was too sad returning to the country only to learn of the shocking murder of Suzan Magara.

Addressing the media at National Theater in Kampala, Kyagulanyi says that as usual, the response from police and President Museveni is so disappointing and offers no solution to the prevailing criminality in the country.

The MP also wondered why police was quick to put up a Shs100m bounty to look for the killers of Magara yet the same was not done when more than a dozen women were killed in Wakiso district last year.

Kyagulanyi remarked that it is time for Ugandans to realize that they must save themselves since they are not being led but ruled by a government which has priorities in consolidating the grip on power instead of solving problems of the citizens.

Kyagulanyi says that he plans to sensitize the population on the referendum that is to be held on the extension of the presidential term of office from five to seven years to ensure they make an informed decision.
