Just hours after police issued tough security guidelines on the return of Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine from the U.S, the legislature through his social media platform has vowed to defy all directives.
Kyagulanyi says he will be received by friends, colleague leaders and artistes then proceed to see his sick grandmother at Najjanankumbi then head to Kamwokya for lunch with his family before going to his home in Magere.
Police through its spokesperson Emilian Kayima, announced this morning that On arrival, Hon. Kyagulanyi will be received at Entebbe International Airport by his immediate family then availed security from the airport to his home with strict observance of the law to ensure no interruption to other road users.
Kayima said intelligence had unearthed a group of people alleged to be distributing Red T-Shirts and posters for those planning to participate in processions and assemblies to receive the MP which according to Police shall not be allowed since they are not in conformity with the provisions of Public Order Management Act (POMA),”
However, Kyagulanyi is a free Ugandan with the right to move freely in my country.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Makindye division Ali Kasirye Mulyanyama has challenged Kayima over the police guidelines intended to control the activities at the return of Robert Kyagulanyi from America saying their statements are inconsiderate to the plight of Ugandans.
