The parliamentary committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) has asked Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) within two weeks to recover 151 million shillings they unlawful paid to Aqua firm to construct an Aquaculture One-Stop Centre and Fry Project at Komamboga.

This is after the committee learnt that KCCA Executive Director Jennifer Musisi authorized a bid acceptance letter to the firm in five days to the end of the 2011/12 financial year and the money had already been returned to the consolidated fund.

As a result in delay of payment, the firm demanded that KCCA pays it 204million shillings as compensation but it was eventually paid 151 million shillings in 2015 after negotiations.

COCASE vice chairperson Anita Among and the committee Members of Parliament including Elijah Okupa and Abraham Byandala have directed that the responsible officers at KCCA must refund the 151 million shillings.
