President Yoweri Museveni has described men who beat their women as insensitive and weak who could not be welcomed in the society.

He said this at the national women’s day celebrations held at Busuubizi Core Primary Teachers College (PTC) in Mityana District under the Theme; Empowering of Rural Women and Girls Opportunities and Challenges.

In a kind of mockery Museven told men who wish to fight to look for fellow men instead of posing cowardly.

He also condemned cultures that prohibit women from inheriting wealth saying the coming property right law will empower women to own and also share properties of their spouse’s once they die.

Museveni pledged government commitment to supporting women and youth through national programs advising them never to get married because of acquiring wealth.

President Yoweri Museveni also attacked prisons and the police for laziness that has left the country at the heightened criminality.

His statement follows the escape of two suspected murderers of Masaka residents Musa Galiwango and Muhammad Kidawalime;who had appeared for court mention last week.

Museveni says un-cuffing prisoners while appearing in courts should stop and vowed to strengthen security of the country.

On the support of women to generate income for self sustenance Museven condemned local government for taxing petty businesses like Gonja sellers saying if their contribution is inevitable it should be levied annually than daily.
