Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) might sack the Vice Chairperson of the Parliament Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE), Anita Among, who the party accuses of double standards.

This was revealed by the party Vice President Eastern Region, Proscovia Salam Musumba while addressing the party weekly press briefing in Najjanankumbi on the party’s new leadership strategies to deal with the opposition leadership in Parliament.

Musumba says that FDC is unhappy with Among’s decision to run as an independent, and also her comments which she says were not complementary to the party cause.

She further says that Eng. Patrick Amuriat’s leadership is holding discussions with all the structures left behind by the former President Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu include the different parliamentary committee leadership especially COSASE and the space is established for all leaders to meet the party president.

It is clear that Eng. Amuriat appointed the party’s Women’s League Spokesperson, Sarah Eperu as the head of the Presidential Media Department, a position that doesn’t exist in the party constitution which has left the post of the party spokesperson and the deputy Ibrahim Ssemuju Nganda and Paul Mwiru respectively at stake.

The Kira Municipality MP, Ssemuju Nganda and his deputy Mwiru, both supported former President Gen MugishaMuntu in the recent presidential elections but according to Eperu, none of these has been replaced yet.
