St. Joseph’s Centenary Parish Ndeeba celebrated its feast day with the inaugural fundraising of UGX 1.4 billion for a three storied multi-purpose hall aimed at boosting the parish treasury.

The Parish Priest Fr. Francis Exeviour Kikomeko challenged the congregation as the parish marks 35 years of existence to be true, prayerful , considerate and relevant to those around them.

Fr. Kikomeko reminded Christians of their obligations during the lent season.

Among the guests who came to support the cause included Dr. Kizza Besigye the former FDC president who contributed UGX 2.5 million.

Matia Bbale and Eugine Nassolo both vying for the Lubaga South parliamentary seat rallied the people to spot a competent representative and contributed UGX 1 and 3 million respectively.

The Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago also contributed UGX 0.5 Million and also promised that the feeder roads passing through the area will be reconstructed with a World Bank loan they have procured.

Lukwago however decried acts of injustice and torture directed to leaders who have come out to defend the rights of Ugandans and the country at large calling for prayers for God to redeem this country.
