The National Organization of Trade Union (NOTU) has filed a case in the high court against the Ministry of finance over controlling the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).

This has been revealed by Peter Christopher Wereke, the General Secretary for NOTU saying that the Finance Ministry has no mandate to control NSSF except the Ministry of Gender, Labor and Social Development.

He therefore urges the Finance Minister Martia Kasaija to immediately withdraw the NSSF bill he previously tabled before parliament that will leave the workers savings totaling to 7.6 trillion shillings at stake.

Meanwhile, the NOTU Chairperson Usher Wilson Owere lashed at Kasaija for disorganizing NSSF and refusing to act in accordance to the law to have the Fund Act and the uganda retirement benefit authority managed by the Ministry of gender.
