The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has expressed dissatisfaction over the assault exhibited to their Kassanda South Member of Parliament Simeo Nsubuga at the 24th Kabaka Mutebi’s coronation anniversary in Mubende.

NRM Electoral Commission Chairman Dr. Tanga Odoi says the assualt was great insult to the King and criminal and the event organizers coronation organizers should investigate and issue an apology. He also warned that they might also be forced to mobilize youth to counter such members who violate their leaders’ constitutional right.

Nsubuga was on Monday man-handled before Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi in Mubende District by William Ntege, aka Kyuma kya Yesu, a former journalist of the defunct WBS Television accusing him among other MPs of hypocrisy by supporting the amendments to the constitution to lift the presidential age limit.

The incident occurred at Buwekula County Headquarters, Mubende Municipality, where the people of Buganda are celebrating Kabaka’s 24th coronation anniversary.

Tanga called upon NRM members to stay strong and to not allow to be kicked around like a ball.

Meanwhile, Nsubuga blamed haters in the opposition for staging a physical attack on Monday against him during the Kabaka’s 24th coronation ceremony in Buwekuula.
