The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission has confirmed to have received 900mshs for conducting primary elections in seven new districts.

NRM was scheduled to conduct primaries for Women parliamentary and LCV chairperson candidates in Kassanda, Kikuube, Kwania, Kapelebyong, Bugweri and Nabilatuk on August 14 but was forced to postpone the exercise due to lack of fund.

Addressing the media today at Kyadondo road in Kampala, the Party EC Deputy Chairperson John Alimpa Kigyagi says on Friday this week, they will be releasing the roadmap for the pending exercise.

Kigyagi further announces November 2nd this year as the polling date for the party primaries of Busia district chairperson following the withdrawal of their candidate Wanyama Wawundo from the race.
