The Uganda Nurses and Midwives Union (UNMU) has warned investors against the alleged purchase of its land from unknown sellers in Mulago.

The said land is located on plot 2-10 Kitante road, adjacent to Mulago round about in Kampala.

Early this month, it was reported in the media that a Chinese investor fraudulently bought this land from certain officials in the Uganda Land Commission for an undisclosed amount of money.

Addressing the media at their offices in Mulago, the UNMU President Justus Cherop say that the union has never received any letter from either the Minister of Health, Permanent Secretary or Mulago Hospital Executive Director confirming any sale of the land.

However, he warns encroachers to stop their encroachment plans since the land is not for sale but contains plans of having a Specialized Nursing University.
