The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah has confirmed that Parliament will this Thursday discuss a motion on the presidential age limit after consultations from Speaker Rebecca Kadaga.

Oulanyah says that he has received a notice from a Member of Parliament requesting to present a motion to the house to make some recommendations to Government on the presidential age limit.

He adds that he is to first consult the Speaker, Rebecca Kadaga about the motion but confirms she received copies of the two motions; the age limit and constituting of the constitutional review commission to discuss the constitutional amendments.

However, Oualnyah emphasizes that all the motions relating to the age limit debate will not come to the floor of parliament until they have discussed with the speaker.

He says if need be, the business committee will be given time to meet and handle the matter.

Oulanyah, says the motions will be included on the order paper if it is decided by the authority of the speaker. He cautions legislators against exciting the public on the matter.
