Parliament has given an ultimatum of seven days for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and that of Security to come up with a statement explaining the mode of the ongoing killings of women in Entebbe and Nansana.

The Speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga condemns the killings and demands government to expeditiously investigate and ensure that these murders are stopped.

This comes after the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) produced a file to police sanctioning charges agaisn13 suspected criminals alleged to have been in connection of the 17 murders in Nansana Municipality.

Meanwhile, the chairperson of Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights Jovah Kamateka notes that the elections of the Village LC1 leaders will help in improving on security over such crimes since they are key stakeholders in providing security.
