Parliament is said to be locked in confusion on who is to implement the presidential directive to allocate each of the 451 Members of Parliament, a brand new security car since there is no money to facilitate such a program.

Last evening MPs were served with a letter from the President directing the procurement of 4×4 pickups that will be used by the UPDF soldiers to escort MPs.

However the administrator who is also a commissioner to parliament Arinayitwe Rwakajara says that there is no money in this financial year for such allocations and if it’s to be effected, ministry of finance will be the one to bear the expenses.

Meanwhile speaking to both NRM and Opposition Mp’s on Thursday, they have scoffed to Museveni’s directive saying it’s not feasible.

Ntungamo Municipality MP Gerald Karuhanga, Busiro East Mp Merdard Ssegona and Mukono South’s Muyanja Ssenyonga say government has no money to procure over 400 led cars for Mps and their maintenance.

They advise that instead of procuring lead-cars let the funds be utilized for public social services.
